Smog Pump Question.
What would happen if you simply got rid of the smog pump belt and left all the other components in place? Would there be vacuum issues? I know there are not a lot who still have this stuff on the truck as not alot of States required it, but if anyone has some knowlege on it, I would appreciate it.

Re: Smog Pump Question.
You can if the vehicle doesn't have a catalitic converter. If you do not remove the equipment the pump will be locked up shortly. If you have any kind of inspections you may not be able to do it.

Re: Smog Pump Question.
I would leave it alone. With Cali's pending smog checks on older cars and trucks, you'll be needing it again, and I agree with Ret, it'll probably end up locked up if it doesn't get used.
