Hood Question

Did Chevrolet put a front hood emblem on a '54? Mine has an outline of a emblem, with holes, but I cannot find any '54's or '55 1st's with one. It is in the front of the hood, not the top where the bird would be. Thanks

Re: Hood Question

They were a factory item but are different than the 47/53 ornament

This red truck has both http://www.pbase.com/image/16230922

Re: Hood Question

Yes, they are harder to find. I'm not sure anyone reproduces them. I bought an extra one from a board member here. They are stainless, not chrome and look like this:

Let me know if you can't find one anywhere else. I'm not sure if my Mom has one yet or not, or if she even wants this one.

Re: Hood Question

I thought some had them. I cannot find any for sale anywhere. I bid on one on ebay a while ago, but the auction went way higher than I wanted to pay. Thanks
