Hi , just bought a used b&m z-gate shifter off ebay. Im thinking of making some kind of platform to raise it up about 6" , so i dont have to reach down to use it. Just wondering if any one on here is using a floor shifter , id like to see some pics.

Im using a Hurst Pro Matic2 truck style floor shifter. look in my other thread " Seat cover came" i think theres a pic of it in there

I have a B&M Light TrucK Megashifter in my '86. The fit is perfect. What makes it a truck shifter is the base it comes with, So raising yours on some sort of mount should be fine. Sorry no pic.

most are labeled truck shifters cuz the shifter "shaft" is raised not the base. the shifter will still bolt directly to the floor, just has a taller stance

My shift handle is only 6", the base adjust's from min 1.5" to a max of 3.8". However this guy still has not seen any pics yet.

Here's the B&M truck shifter installed in a member's truck

I was looking through the links for other shifters installed in consoles, but didn't find what i was looking for. But you could always build a wood console and cover it in fabric/matching seat material or metal and paint it and install the shifter in that.
