Re: Heatwave

I used to drive out from Dallas for the show until it became obnoxious (boom-boom stereos all freakin day, golf carts w/a bunch of drunks, more late model/import stuff than classics).

All that plus the standard TX heat w/no shade helped me decide I would prefer to just read the highlights on the net or in the magazines. I would prob still go if it was just a 20min drive..... just not worth the 3hr road trip for me.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

20-30%. Lot's of late models, way high jacked-up 4x4's, bikes (crotch rockets), & imports.

Re: Heatwave

It's less than 15 minutes away for me and no one I know is going.
It isn't the type of show it once was.
What a shame.
