what is this??? winching location??

Driver side inner frame rail 67 lwb. Maybe a winching location, or towing spot??

Probably WAY off...

Longhorn Man, there's a lower control arm in the picture, problably not a plow on a 2wd.

The bracket seems to fit very well, I am guessing it is factory. Is it part of the 67 ram-assist power steering?
I haven't seen many steering stabilizers on 2wd's but it looks like it could serve that purpose too.

That makes some sence. The SPID shows power stearing, but has a manual gear box.

Also there isn't a matching one, or wholes on the other side.

yeah, and plow attachments were normally in front of that cross member.
As far as the "in texas" comment... I've seen crazier things.

That is for the original power steering in 67 they used a cylinder ttached to the steering linkage
