Bolt Size Question
I will be running to TSC at lunch today and forgot to grab the spare bolts I had to bring with me...to get the right sizes...
Can anybody tell me the size of the following bolts: Fuel Line Clip Bolts on Frame Rails Trans Line Clip Bolts on Frame Rails SBC Engine Tower Bolts (to attach towers to frame) Bolts that connect to accessory holes in heads to connect engine hoist to. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Bolt Size Question
now i may be wrong here but it seems like 1 1/2 bolts may be a bit long, i feel like you could use 1 inch or 3/4 in long bolts for the fuel/transline clips and the towers, maybe use the 3/4 for the clips and the 1 in for the towers just to be safe, for some reason i had a feeling that the clip bolts may have been 5/16's in diameter, maybe someone will chime in and prove me wrong, 1/4 in bolts would make more sense to me though.

Re: Bolt Size Question
Shorter bolts may be sufficiant, but if they work loose as many do the nuts will thread themselves off. I always like to have 1/4" sticking out of the bolt. They are that way from the factory. WES
