Why does my break light on my dash come on....

when I hit my brakes sometimes.

theres probally a problem either lo brake fluid or an inbalance caused by either the front or rear brakes leaking

I agree with cdowns, the brake light comes on when there is a pressure difference on the "up hill" and "down hill" side of the prop valve.

Get a buddy to help you bleed the brakes really well, that may fix it. And if it doesn't then you 'll need to start with the repairs.
