Wood Bed Wear Rails
I'LL BE REDOING THE TRUCK BED OVER THE WINTER. MY RAILS APPEAR TO BE JUST GALVANIZED METAL. WHAT WERE THEY LIKE FROM THE FACTORY. PAINTED TO MATCH THE VEHICLE ,POLISHED OR JUST GALVANIZED ?
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

I'm surprised to here the bed wood was painted black.
Sections of the wood on my bed still has what a appears to be a clear varnish and the natural oak underneath. I would like to keep it originall but in this case I think i'll sand, stain and clear coat it.
