Drive Shaft Measurements

When measuring for a one piece drive shaft do you measure from the end of the tail shaft to the center of the yoke or the flanges that the u-joints bolt to?

IIRC, the shop I went to (Dick's Driveshaft in Phoenix) wanted the measurement from the seal of the tranny to the center of the U-joint on the rearend. Call up where you're getting it from and ask how they want it...

(here is the shop's page describing measurements...)

Slide the bare slip yolk in the trans till it bottoms, then pull it back out 3/4 ". Measure center to center on the caps, thats the dimention the shop needs to set you up. good luck....69
