Drum brake promlem

ok, first off I ordered some custom rallyes from wheel vintiques(12x15) with an 8.5 inch backspacing so I can still run my stock width 12bolt. The problem now having is my 5x5 drum with the fins on it are to bag arond to fit inside my wheel, but my old original 6 lug drum that doesn't have the fins fits perfect.so does any1 know of a drum that will fit or should I bring off the fins on my 5 lug drums or drill my 6 lug ones to fit 5 lug axles?any help is greatly appreciated, thanks guys

Re: Drum brake promlem

I went to my parts store yesterday & had my buddy cross reference these drums & we came up with a '72 Impala drum. It depends on your shoe size but they will interchange & the outside fins are quite a bit smaller. Just thought i'd post in case someone else was havin this problem. I just cut a little off with my grinder on my drums so they would fit in the wheel.
