Is it possible to remove the front bed panel w/o removing the bed or anything else?? Just some bolts and sliding it out?

That might be a tough one but one could try. There might be enough room to slide it toward the cab more and get the lower lip to clear.

Ok this might work: get a comealong, 2 prybars, a sledgehammer, 3 2x4's.....no wait, I think it will be easier to take the bed loose and slide it back!

What about take the bolts off and the two mounting bolts up at the cab and lift that up and then puta block under so it will pull off and clear?

I if remember right on mine the front bed panel slid between two pieces on the bed sides, and the front piecs had a 1/2in bend at the bottom of it that faced the rear of the truck. I would try to loosen up the bed sides so maybe you could widen it and possibly pull it right out, but ya that may be a lil tricky with all the bolts and if the bed is completely together..

well.. I may have to just remove the whole bed. Does that just come off with the four mounting bolts? I dont have wood in the bed.

GMC65Guy,

I replaced mine (65 Chevy) with the bed bolted in. But I had the wood out so I could spread the top of the bed sides enough to get the rolled top portion in place. And since the wood was out the lip at the bottom was no problem. I used a Mar-K panel, perfect fit.

Well, I looked at the bed. The bottom isnt even attatched so I just need to remove the side bolts and slide the booger out.
