I have a 71 stepside truck and was wondering if a 78 tailgate would work? I have heard that the stepside tailgates are the same up the 80's something? anyone know? Thanks Rick

It will work. Chevrolet used the same stepside tailgate from 54-87. The stepside beds from those years were also basically the same. It's the same with the GMC's as well.
