Fire
I was driving to a lunch mtg today, and this guy pulled up in a srt8 cherokee. I punched it of the line. And I went to park and my ride stalled out. I thought it was not getting gas. Then I started to smell burning plastic. I popped the hood, and this blue connector was on fire. I blew it out.. Can't turn in on now, the white wire is broken.. You guys know what this is?
Thanks!! Last edited by c10Mang; 07-28-2008 at 05:19 PM. |

Re: Fire
Looks like a splice connector (like they use on trailer wiring kits). It looks like it is on your coil wire. Trace the red wire to find where it goes. Also I noticed your vacuum advance hose is not connected to the distributor.

Re: Fire
Over-heated from cranking the starter I would think. When I still had the points ignition and it was being vile to me and refusing to start, that wire would smoke. All new wires and HEI fixed it.
