Re: Power Brakes ??????

is this 2WD?

There are a few issues. First we need to know what the frame behind your current power steering looks like. Some 68's and 69 and up had raised pads to hold the steering box. This is required to hold a power steering box. Brothers and CPP sell a kit for 66 and lower trucks that might work for you, r you need to come up with some kid of spacers. I have a bracket and pump that will work for you though, I know Hart_Rod has a steering box for a 2WD that he might get rid of.

Brakes, there are two main types. 1/2 ton and 3/4 (& 1) tons. Best bet is to find a junkyard set and pull all the brackets from the brake pedal and out. You can then trade the MC and booster in as a core or run them as you need. If you are staying drum brake then you "should" be able to run your current MC. If not then you will need the donor set from a disk brake truck and a proportioning valve to add in.

Good luck and let me know if you are interested in the brackets and pump for your 68.

Brake upgrade on a 66, probably easier on a 67-72 http://www.classicperform.com/quickstop.htm
