Hey all,

I have the original 350( 4-bolt mains) from my 69. It was overhauled years ago and needs another. It has been bored .030 over and the crank has NOT been turned. I also have a set of '74 model 196 casting heads ( 1.94I/1.5E) Screw in studs and Guide Plates with about 40k miles on them from a 74 Vette engine. The heads are not on the 350 it has the original heads on it.

Anyway, I have a friend at work that would like to buy it to rebuild for a old 40 something ('48 I think) model truck he is putting together. So what is a fair price on this engine and heads???

EDIT: I thought the crank had been turned, but after I got home and looked at the old paper work I saw it they installed Standard Rod & main bearings, so it has not been turned.

Around 300 - 400 for all of it

Hey Thanks 1968SWBBigBlock. I really didn't have a clue as to what this thing is worth. Really never planned on selling it....But it has been on an engine stand in the garage for 10+ years and I don't plan on putting it back in the truck since I bought a '99 350 FI vortec in a Suburban that I plan to transplant into the 69.

Anyone else with an opinion? (Yea, I know everyone on here has an opinion!)

I agree with the price on it. If its all good.

Since its a 4 bolt main mostly.

Long time no hear from. I still have the 68 CST. It has required almost nothing to keep it running. I swapped carbs after the float stuck open on me this Spring. I put bigger tires on it. The campers are in Carter Co. KY (far eastern KY in the mountions), setting back to back with an 8' x 8' gold astroturf carpet deck between them and still serving great as Hunting Campers. We call the one that was on the 68 the "California Holiday", LOL....
