Longer coils to lift truck?

A new member to this section. I bought a 78' Chevy 2wd for a Tuff Truck and was woundering if there is any longer coils that I could put in the front to lift it a 1-3 inches. Its a little low in the front. Maybe from a different year or model?

3/4T springs will lift it up.

Re: Longer coils to lift truck?

ive put cargo coils for a 3/4 ton in the front of my old truck and while it was a pain to do it cause you had to really compress the springs to get them in and it rode like a 4wd.. i also added gas shocks too for the front end

Re: Longer coils to lift truck?

The truck is a 3/4 ton. I guess I could put new ones in, I am sure the ones that i have now are worn out.

Re: Longer coils to lift truck?

I've heard of using 1 ton springs. You also could use the stock springs with a spacer.

Re: Longer coils to lift truck?

you could try diesel or bigblock 1 ton springs or you could go with a spacer as mentioned. Are you really going to compete in this truck or are you just going for the "tough truck" look?
