need to change the towers and or motor mounts?...I know I'll need BBC brackets, but what else is involved...in my 1970 Chevy, factory SBC truck, swapping to a 468 BBC possibly...

what all is involved?

Afraid I'm not much help on the question, but thought I would check with you to see if you are still going to have Tom and Richard paint your truck? Thinkin' about a BB huh? This could be dangerous, hehee! Cya, LB.

what tranny ? if manual then youll have to figure out clutch linkage

TH350 tranny...so it should bolt right up...

barn9, yea, come spring I will hopefully get a new paint job, and it will be Tom and Richard for sure...just need mo powa!

Yes, you will need to change towers & mounts, & I think the position of the trans crossmember. This will probably also affect the lengh of the drive shaft.....

I had to change the towers....tranny crossmember and ofcourse, my driveshaft, which had to be shortened a bit.....hope all goes well for ya

Tracy, so you're thinkin of moving over to the dark side?

It's been a looooooog time since I did it and I had the donor truck to pick from. But, last year we stuffed the boy's Chevelle with a rat and was able to make the sb-bb swap in a day. Be sure to get all your brackets together before you make the swap. The exhaust was really the only problem, but about 45 min. with the torch and welder that little job was done. Had headers for both engines. The throttle linkage may need a little tweaking and a drop base for your air cleaner.

I'm sure with all your experience you'll have no problems making the swap. You'll have a grin ear to ear after you do it. Good luck. Jeff
