Re: Nice rack!!!
She wanted me to use nutserts at first, I told her no. I don’t want to be responsible when that thing comes off and decapitates 4 people.

Re: Nice rack!!!
WOW. Thats gonna kill her mileage for sure. Handling too.
Why didn't she just go with a construction style ladder rack that uses the stake pockets in the bed ? Would have been just as functional and perfectly reversible. She could have even left the area of the rack over the bed completely open if that was a concern too. Good job on the safe installation though.

Re: Nice rack!!!
At least with that rack you can leave the bed empty?

Re: Nice rack!!!
The truck used to have a topper on it and the rack went above the topper with legs coming down to the bed. She bought a gooseneck horse trailer and wanted to keep the rack to haul hay and her kayak. She loved that rack and was VERY pleased with how it came out. I tried to tell my boss it’s ok to say no to some jobs even if it’s for a friend of your wifes.

Re: Nice rack!!!
Well, it's not for me, but then it works for her. That's what's so great about a free country!
It certainly is "industrial strength"...
