Re: Let's see your throttle cable on your AD truck

Well, mine had a Lokar but it was cut too short and came apart after driving it for a little while. I just really need to run a longer one with a loop in it.

I like Lokar products, but isn't there something from the bone yard that can be adapted ?

Re: Let's see your throttle cable on your AD truck

My throttle cable comes out of the fire wall too far away from my carb and has it at an awkward angle.

Question,
I see that you have your shift arm from the steering column going under the brake arm (shortned), how has this affected the geometry of the indicator on the column? I am having a interference problem also

Re: Let's see your throttle cable on your AD truck

I bought a Lokar cable shifter.....it did not work as well as other products I've bought from them. It shifted very hard.

I have the lokar eliminator pedal set-up the comes out through the bottom of the floor and then runs up to the firewall.. Ya may want to take a look at those.

Re: Let's see your throttle cable on your AD truck

I've used the same setup as smittys50. Mine is even shorter, seems to work O.K.. Had to tweek it some to get it to come to idle smoothly, but I think I'll be happy.
