Talking Goodmark to Produce Step Side Fenders

I got word today from my Goodmark supplier that they have the stepside fender in the works. Should be out fairly soon, but he didn't have a release date. I thought this was great news as I want all metal on no figerglass.

I just wanted to pass this along if any of you are about to buy some or you are looking for replacements.

price and demand. I bet they won't be that high. My guess is 200 to 250. I have seen used rusted ones go for that. I'll keep you posted should I find out something before you.

Do you know if they going to do any with the spare cutout? That would be coolk far as I'm concerned. finding those seem to be extra ruffwhether they are new, used, or glass.

Stepside fender w/ cutout

Hey, Palf, I've got a '68 stepside bed with the driver fender w/ cutout for spare. I'm not gonna use the bed as I've got my heart set out for a fleetside. Holler at me if you're interested.

If you're near Minnesota, I'd be willing to trade you fenders. I've got the spare tire cut out and don't really want it. My fender is rustfree by the way and in primer black.

Thanks for all the offers. I actually have one already. Someone I know was trying to steal mine (so he says if I leave it unattended to long). I'll see if he is serious about it.

I was also curious cuz if I would ever need one to replace mine (hurricanes, crazy old blind drivers, or other natural distasters (my daughter is close to driving age), there would be another source to look at.

Goodmark isn't actually producing them, a manufactuer in Taiwan is and will be selling them to Goodmark,us, and others. These stepside fenders were supposed to be done in April of this year but tooling problems delayed them from being ready. The first guess of about $400 or so is most likely correct as I know the 47-55 stepside fenders when released were this high intially. Now 2 years later the price has dropped on them as they have recouped a portion of the tooling cost. Cost to develop the 47-55 stepside rear fenders was over half a million dollars so I can understand the high price. Just looking at a rear fender I see them needing at least 4-5 dies and multiple stamps to recreate our stepside rear fenders.
