Blazer top and rear seat

Hey guys,,,,,,,,,,, I'm normally on the truck board but I fell into a deal a guy sold me the gas tank and tail gate from a blazer and told me if I want the top and rear seat I could have it free. I don't need or want them but if anyone in Colorado wants them I would grab them and for you. Or if anyone wants to drive to Colorado Springs and pick them up,,,,,

The only bad thing is I need to know SOON! Like in the next couple days soon! If not he's going to cut them up and send them to the landfill.

Hes lightning this up for a off road toy,,,canvas top, full cage, fuel cell,,,,you get the picture.

Let me know guys

Re: Blazer top and rear seat

I just got back from picking up my stuff and taking a good look at the top/seat. I believe the top to be double wall. Outside on top I can see some waves in the top but they aren't there on the inside. I couldn't see any noticable cracks in the top it's self but the hatch has some issues. There is a crack fron the hinge to the glass on the outside and the lower edge of the hatch below the handle has a pretty long crack in it,,,,from the handle to the drivers side.

Also he has a rear bumper that is bent pretty good on the drivers side,,,, would take quite abit of work to straighten it but its possible.

Re: Blazer top and rear seat

the top hardware might be worth keeping such as the mounting brackets or the locking T handle and inside parts of the hatch. If the hatch isn't too far gone it might be worth saving.

Re: Blazer top and rear seat

Were there lights (more than one) inside or just one? Does it bolt on (the top) from the top of the rail down or from the bottom up (if so you wouldn't see bolts at all)? If it is a single I'd take it and make the drive up to Colo Springs. LMK

Ok here's the link to my photobucket page for the pics of the top and rear seat.

The hatch is worse than I originally thought. I flexes quite abit when you open or close it. Probably fixable if your handy with fiberglass.

Re: Blazer top and rear seat

FYI, If the guy is not going to use those side panels in the rear and they are in good shape they would also be worth saving.

PS, get the trim pieces for the sides too.

Re: Blazer top and rear seat

Check and see if it has the carpet hold down strips at both ends of the bed - I'm sure someone would be interested in those also if they are still there.
