finially got my truck back.

I finally got my truck back from the shop and would like to know what others think of it.. Here are a few pics of it now. the middle one is of what it used to look like. I think my daughter is more excited to have it back then me though. I would really like input on the way things are going!!!!!

Re: finially got my truck back.

It's looking good to me. I love the 67-68 front ends whether it's a Chevy or GMC. Glad to see your daughter likes these old trucks, now you're gonna have to find her one when she gets old enough to drive. Now if it was just a stepside again.

Nice truck. The big wheels look better tucked up inside the Fleetside bed.

Re: finially got my truck back.

i had no chance to get the 22"s to tuck under a stepside fender. I ended up looking for about 3 months for a fleet side and it still isnt the best but it will have to work for now. Thank you so muchs guys. That is what i need to hear to stay motivatied to get it done.

Great way to get the kids involved. I have included my girls and son with my projects and they love it. My 6 year old daughter wants a chopped station wagon . Nice truck by the way!

Re: finially got my truck back.

Looks a 100% better than what it did before, specially since it was made into a fleetside ....... Fleetside is the way to go!!!!

When you say you got it back from the shop, Did you have it built by someone?

Did you build it yourself and just got it home?

Just wondering how much did it set you back...

What latches did you end up using for the forward tilt hood? Any info on that would be appreciated. I always love that look.

Re: finially got my truck back.

VA72C10 it is a 87 buick park ave. hood hinge. It had to be stretched about 10 inches. We also had to mold in some tracks on the fenders to let the rollers on the back corners of the hood slide into to latch. It uses the origanal hood latch assembly.

I wish it was a kit....i really want to do this myself but am afraid to try to tackle this....i'm thinking though because i really love the hood flip.

Got any closeups of the hinges and where the latch goes and any other details?
