HOWDIE ALL! new guy here!
hey guys, new guy here i posted on the 4x4 section, figured i would do one here. i have a 72 chevy long bed, 4inch lift w/ 33x12.5 bfg's, 373 gears, 350/350t w/ stage 2 shift kit (cherps 1st & 2nd pretty good!!) i am planning on doing a frame chop on it and making it a short bed. i have read around and find this site to be the BEST ever!! talk to ya'll later!

Welcome Aboard!!!! Sounds like you have a ton of fun ahead with the frame chop. Actually its not bad, 12" out between front&rear cab mounts, remove the front bed mounts on top of frame move rear cab mounts back 12" and lope 8" off rear of frame for 2wd, for 4wd drive I find it is easier to lope the 12" out between the rear cab mount and the 2nd from front bed mount as on a 4wd you don't have to worry about the position of the crossmember that trailing arm attaches to.
