to repair or not.
Should i repair my old 4 core radiator with tranny cooler, get a used one or get a new aluminum radiator and external tranny cooler? thoughts? aarox price for each option?

take your rad to a shop and get a quote. It would be kinda retarded to replace it if it only has $50 of damage.

Normally i would do that, but i would have to drive 100 miles round trip just to take it out to get a quote. Not to mention if they cant do it while i wait. But im thinking that would be the best thing to do anyway.

you can get a new one from Advance auto for around 200bucks 4core with the trans cooler

I bought a couple of nice new four core radiators from a board member. Im sorry I cant remember his name (lotta good this is lol) Ill keep looking. He had em shipped right to my door and they were a very good price. Longhorn man has one of em in his the burb he purchased from me.

Unless you're a tourist in Branson, you do have a round trip to somewhere to get just about anything..
I bought an aftermarket 4-row core radiator for my truck for about $130, several years ago. When I was trying to get the transmission cooler lines connected, I got one of them gill-flirted and used an aftermarket transmission oil cooler. Mounted it in front of the A/C condenser. Last 4-row core re-core I had done (the only one, too) cost me $150. I still have the 4-row core (Originial radiator) that I pulled out to install the new one.
