3 Speed Shifter Linkage

Hello all,
I am putting my truck back together and am hooking up the shifting linkage from the column shifter to the transmission. Are there supposed to be some bushings or something in the shift levers on the transmission? Mine are in pretty decent shape, but there's a bit more slop in them than I would like. Anyone got any pics of their setup?

Thanks

Re: 3 Speed Shifter Linkage

There should be (nylon) I think bushings in the arms on the tranny. If you have not already done so there is a good write up in the FAQ section detailing how to adjust the linkage.Krue has a good index on the FAQ's.
BTW any of the BB vendors should be able to hook you up with bushings but they should also be available at your local parts store.
