Question 285/60/18 Tires, Too Tall?

A local guy has a set of rims and tires for sale. I already know I'll have to run spacers to make them work, but they have 285/60/18 tires on them which are 31.5" tall. My '69 Will have a 3/5 drop by the end of summer.

I noticed factory 2005-2008 Silverado SS tires are 275/55/20 with are about 32" tall.

Opinions?

Thanks!!
