I have a 71 swb. I need the measurement from the trailing arm crossmember top hump to the bottom of the floor. I need to raise the top of that crossmember up a bit, and need to know the distance. I cant move my cab at the moment or i would slap it on and take the measurement... anyone??

This is what im trying to solve. I dont want to buy a new unit, i know i can make this work just fine... Thanks for the help guys.

Well if I measured correctly, It looks to be 1-3/8". Hope this helps.

ok, so the top of the trailing arm hump to the bottom of the cab is 1-3/8. Is there room around it or does it fit tight in there???

I plan on coming up 1 inch... That would probably give me `1.5-2 inches.. SHould be perfect.. IM either going to square it on the top, or take a 6 inch pipe and weld it on there.... Tryin to figure which would be stronger.

I'd guess pipe depending on schedule? Round is better than a square shape?

im thinking 20th thick.... its 1/8 inch thick.... That should do it...
