Question Somethings crapped in my heater wiring ?? ned some help

k i have a 91 chevy, it has the electronic display for the heat and a/c....
story goes: driving with the a/c works great, heater works everything is good, park truck, shut truck off, come back in half hour to go to lunch display no longer works, and its just the display, i tried another display module and didnt work either. I took my idiot light and tested my incoming power and there seems to be power there on the few incoming power i also checked the grounds they seem good. Now i went to the dealership and he said there are 3 like module or capacitors or somthing in the dash and one of them could have gone out thats why the display dont work not enugh power..... so the dealership wants to much to fix it, ANNNNYONE have this problem before and fixed it themselves..........please help i'm freezin my a$$ off!!!!!!!!!!

Did you replace the hvac controller with a NEW one or another used one? This type of controller had quite a few problems thats for sure. "MOST" display problems result in a failed controller.
A few times I have seen the blend door actuator short out and cause the controller to show bad (display going crazy). Or in other cases the recirculation door motor gears strip out and you hear the buzz on startup and shutdown.

These aren't a very complicated circuit really... not like they are making it out to be.

If you replaced it with a new unit and its still doing the same thing, shoot me an email. I'll send you some literature on what steps to take next.

I had a similar problem on my 92'. I disconnected my battery for a few minutes and problem solved after computer was reset.
