Whoa...tearing a rusted to death body off a frame is harder than it looks!

This blazer had been picked clean, it's time to see if there's anything underneath to work with.

Notice in a couple of the pics, the tires are off the ground.

That old wrecker is something else.

It was more 'one piece' when I picked it up.

Trying to pull out the roll bar but that's not happening real easy either. (last pic above)

A lot of the parts went to a lot of places off of this blazer, this one gave it's all so other's could keep em turning.

So far the chassis looks good, might try and save it, maybe use it.

Thats actualy in better shape than my 72 was. I rode it hard and put it away wet for 4 long years. I had a few layers of various metal screwed and rivited in for floor boards. when I took the top off the doors wouldnt open. To put the top on required 2 people in the front seats pushing the windshield forward and someone to quickly put the bolts in when/if it lined up. Hitting a big bump the whole bed would bounce on the frame. It drove down the road in a crab like sideways motion. The heater didnt work very well but all the rust vented the cab pretty well.

BUT for all its faults that old blazer would go anywhere you pointed it (well thats if you pointed the right front fender where you wanted to go) and NEVER left me stranded.

Trying to clean up the parts yard, keep what's good and scrap the reast...still have four trucks to go.

If the blazer frame looks as solid throughout I'll consider using it for my current build for sure, the one currently under the orange crate has been modified (cut) at both ends.

Don't care much about the body one either one but to address using the red one, there's no way - no how it was even a remote option.

She put up a good fight but the wrecker/sawzall combo won this day.

Anybody looking for a frame/drive train?

I'm thinking it's time to invest in a plasma cutter...

I didn't even notice the mud flaps until the last set of pics. Surely those made it into the parts pile for the new rig.

Got some sawzall blades called the "torch" and I'll tell ya, whoa do they cut metal!

Most all of it is cut up and in the can.

Three more trucks to go and then I can start on the orange crate.
