I like it! Are your neighbors as happy as you? ;-) My 66 GMC came with a gun rack similar to yours.

Re: pics of my project 64
Finally worked on it again today after sitting around for most of the holiday weekend. I bought a 72 axle for it. When I took the old axle out I noticed the trailing arms had some rust between em so took them out and got em all fixed up today. Had the motor and trans in today but pulled the trans back out and noticed the pump was broken. Heres a few pics from today.

Re: pics of my project 64
Ok so I still have the 64 but thats gonna be the parts truck now for a friend and I that lives down the street. My next door neighbor bought a 66 long bed fleet a weeks after I bought mine. Texas truck with big window, has some dents and dings but man this thing is super solid compared to what I was working with before. The rockers need alittle attention but overall this truck is pretty nice and I have all the parts to fix it. The best thing about it is its turn key ready to go once I get glass in it. I was debating on cutting the spare frame and bed down to a shortbed but I love the way a long bed looks layin rocker. Future plans are dropmember front and 4 link rear bagged, steel painted wheels and big stinky whitewalls. Best part is I can drive this thing around while building my rolling chassis then all I gotta do is swap the body. Heres some pics let me know what you think.

Re: pics of my project 64
the cab was the whole reason I wanted the truck.......no rot on the drip rails, around the windshield or firewall.

Re: pics of my project 64
looks like you have a solid foundation to start on.i know you will probably get rid of the color thats on it too, just thought you would like to know that color is called saddle and looks like it is still wearing factory paint.good luck on your build.

Re: pics of my project 64
Ok so I changed my mind about the long bed and started cutting my spare bed down to a short bed. Got one side started so far and man is the back end of it in bad shape where the PO tried fixing something before then put atleast a 1/2" of bondo over it. The front of the bed has some duraglass on it too but I dont see any reason its there, dont see any repairs to that area. Im trying to get motivated on this thing since the weather is gonna be getting nice and staying nice here. Also got the crunched fender and grill off it. Heres a few pics for now.
started to bodywork this area alittle and the baaaad spot, I used my air chisel to knock the bondo off it
