time to get going again!

Ok guys after a bit of a break, several months, I'm getting back in the garage and into the thick of working on my truck.

Over the last few months I've been doing some soul searching about where I want this to go and have come up with this,,,,,,

The 69c10 frame with the camaro subframe is going away. When The subframe was installed the cab and fenders were nowhere around so the subframe is to low on the truck frame, leaving close to 6" of gap betwwen the tire (28" tire) and fender. Not cool! There is noway to fix it without some extensive frame work for a second time. A buddy of mine has the frame that we got with the 70 we used for parts and wants a pickup bed trailer behind his 71. So I'll cut my 69 frame into a trailer and swap him frames.

Swapping frames sets me back quite abit because I'll have to sandblast and paint another frame, completely pull all the body parts off the frame,,,AGAIN. but oh well such is life.

On a good note I haven't spent the money on the steering parts to connect the the truck column and the camaro box, and I still have all the truck steering parts. Not to mention all the mods I've done so far were all body mods and am still going with those.

So I guess at this point I need to get this Honda outta my driveway so I can get some work done on this truck!!!!

And of course I'll get pics

Re: time to get going again!

Hey man, I can relate. I took about year off working on any of mine, and I was hot and heavy on my '67 C-30 up until that point. I don't think I posted anything on here for about 8 mos during that time. I have just recently really jumped back on the C-30 pretty hard. It good to have you back!

Re: time to get going again!

Thanks I appreciate it. My schedule at work may interfere with my truck time but I guess the bills gotta get paid aswell so,,,,

But if things go right in the next month or so I'll only be working about 16 days a month so progress could be made!
