what is a good price?
I was looking for a 67-69 12 bolt rear end for my truck and i was curious on what is a good price. I know that is all relative to how bad i need it but i don't want to over pay. I found a couple but they wanted $250 for them. That sounded a little high but thought i would double check with you guys first. Thanks
Josh

Re: what is a good price?
Don't know about your area, but over here in the hot part of the state we see them on Craigslist for about 50-100 dollars.
There is one in Turlock right now, 3.07 ratio for $50. Edit, is there a width difference or changes for the 70-72?

Re: what is a good price?
Depends on availability I guess. $250 seems a bit high. I have sold several for $100, and $150-$200 for a 71-72.

Re: what is a good price?
67-68 (I think) were about 2" shorter than the 69-72's.
Am I right Longhorn Man?

Re: what is a good price?
Depends on open or posi, gear ratio, etc. I have sold 3.73 posi's and 4.11 posi's for $200-400. an open 3.08 I'd guess $50-125. In the scheme of things $200 isn't a lot of $$$, and is way cheaper than rebuilding an old axle?

Re: what is a good price?
Its a great time to change over to a 5 bolt rear if you are so inclined.
