You know the saying...

You know that saying if it aint broke dont fix it (and its other endings) Well My starter went out so I took it off and then noticed one trailing arm was swollen from rust between the two halfs so I started taking that off to beat the rust out of it and fix then my spring pops out (cut) so I removed both rear springs well I got tired of climbing over the tail gate so it came off and I noticed one of the holder wheels was frozen solid and While I was waiting on parts ( going on vacation in TN to buy parts) I decided to set my new intake on to see about hood clearence and fabbing brackets for kickdown cable and making new throttle rod to clear linkage bracket and after knocking my head on the hood twice It came off..... How does this happen. Well I think I might as well keep going pull the M\T and bed and front fenders and get started on the frame. Heres some pics. Oh yea didn't get a pic but I started making a new trans crossmember also.

Re: You know the saying...

shortbed70, you’re making me feel better about my project. I know exactly what you’re saying. A "simple engine rebuild" has turned into a nearly $6,000 overhaul. Hang in there, Buddy.

Re: You know the saying...

Well you know I didn't want to start the teardown to bare frame yet being now is a good time to have it up and running but when it's like this outside its hard to stop driving it just to take it apart but since I'm this far along I think its going to come all the way apart to do everything. LIST

Floor pans DR\PASS,c-notch rear, disc up front,p\s conversion, clean and paint frame, clean and paint motor along with re gasket and ad some flash, put a few more parts in trans, redo suspension. I've been debating taking it apart for another reason...I priced all the metal panels I want to fix cab and clip not alone all the body work stuff...But thats another post. Tracking spending!
