Super slow power windows

Hi.
I just got an '86 blazer to add to my stable! my only car (out of the 5 now) with power windows, and i already dont like them, lol.

They roll down really, really slow, and with the truck off, and the key "on" you have to give them a little help to get up or down. Do i just straight up need new motors? Is there something else that i could do?
If it is just motors, ebay has some for $14 a each, which i assume are made in china, and absolute ****. I recall LMC selling some for maybe around $50 a pair..
Any suggestions there?

You'll probably wind up needing to give the tracks and the scissor lift a major cleaning along with replacing the rollers and the motor. I followed a tutorial that was on this site somewhere when I did it about 3 - 4 years ago.

All you need is a little lube. Use some lithium grease on the tracks and joints.

Oh and 145 amps helps too.

Add an 84-86 Camaro 100 amp alternator. The Camaro alternator is v-belt. It bolts right into the stock wiring harness too. I had one and even upgraded it to 120 amps. Still I needed more for 12" thumper and ZZ4.

Re: Super slow power windows

try looking at the wiring harness. they actually have a connector that is up high in the kickpanel area.the last one i had that was slow to roll up and down was because of corrosion in the harness connector. cleaned with contact cleaner and reinstalled. windows and locks worked perfectly with no other problems.
