I have been detailing under the hood the last few days trying to match up the red better than what it was. I also did the runners so they would look a little better.
I will get a full picture after I get it all reinstalled also.

Andy, motor area is looking great, If you are like me you will always find something else to paint or add. I do have a question, did you paint your brake fluid cover or is that something you bought, i have tryed to find a crome one to fit mine but everyone i find is to small, mine is just like yours and wanted to find out where did you get it. Thanks

Don't think I will paint the valve covers, I may take them off and polish them though!
I painted the cover and the M/C.

Here are the pictures of it all installed again. Nothing fance just cleaning the under hood area up. Getting all the red the same shade was the goal in this project which I think turned out OK.

Just a quick though. Have you consider painting the valve covers and clean the the paint off of the top of the ridges. You could also do the same thing to the top of the center manifold. Then the top of the engine would match. The compartment does look sharp already. Keep up the good work.

Yes I have thought of it just don't know if I could do it and it look right. I mean by looking right with my paint skills. I may think about it again though..thanks.

Wow, that looks killer.

I say just polish the V/C's... they will look spiffy and you already have the perfect ammount of color.

A gloss black with unpainted fins would look pretty damn cool though, come to think of it.

You could just paint the cover and then take a block and run it over the top of the fins down to the metal. Then just lay a coat of clear over the top of it and that would do it I believe.
