Hey everyone, I almost became a PO today. I set my engine and transmission in place today along with the cab. Then I move the bed and started stripping it with a Norton stripping 7" wheel when I stumble on some previous body work (bondo). I started to leave it in place and just strip the top layer of paint off when I realized that was wrong. It then dawned on me that the work may not be up to my standards and If I sold the truck at a later time someone would cuss me as the PO. As it was they had drilled holes and bondo over them. Definitely the way I would not do it today. But before I own a welder and learned the hard way I have done body work that away. When this work was done, who knows this may have been the exceptional way. Eeither because of Lack of talent, lack of tools or lack of Whatever, more than likely, we all have been guilty of being a PO. Just my two cents worth today.
I included a picture of my helper today. With a little bit of grease and oil it has yet to quit on me or get tired. I am fortunate to have my boom because this work would sure be a lot harder to do by myself. Thanks for letting me be on my soap box today and thanks for all the motivation I get from this site. looks like ur really comming along on the truck, the little suprises that these trucks always seem to have either make or break the project, good luck

I know the feeling as I came accroos some really bad 1/2 ass aahhh nevermind..... My truck that was quite a driver and I was going to just do an engine swap and make it automatic add a/c and power brakes then when we pulled the engine out and seen a bit of rust on some panels, then when I saw under the dash when I was taking the column out...I knew that being the perfectionist that I am I was in trouble...First pict my truck wednesday second pict friday in the afternoon.I dont want to be the "PO" 1/2 ass dude!!!

If the P.O. of my truck is human, at all, then I know his ears are on fire!! I've dissed him so many times, it's inhuman....or, inhumane. Take your pick.
By the way, have I told y'all today how much I hate Non-Automotive RTV?
