203 disassemble

hi fellas.
i've never torn into a 203 case before and now im stuck. i'm pulling the gear range box from the chain case but i don't know how to remove the inside shifter rod that runs through both cases. i've the split cases and am now bound up on this rod. how do i remove it? is this rod used in the ORD doubler kit?
thanks ahead. -steve

Re: 203 disassemble

TLOZ: thank you for your offer. i picked up a drivetrain manual from a bud of mine that was quite detailed and i read thoroughly so i would not make a future silly mistake. for my future reference what company did you get your software from? thanks.

'71c20: i knew of that site and completely forgot to reference it, thanks for the reminder. they do have a lot of good info. thanks.

Hi Steve,
I got the 203 and 400 turbo DVD from Technical Videos. Really helped with step by step instructions. Good luck, Tom
