How about a 69 3/4 ton 4x4 Fire truck?

I went to look at another truck tonight after work. How does 14,695 original miles sound? 1969 3/4 ton Long box step side, 350 V-8, 4 spd, PS, PB. It has minimal rust. One rocker, one cab corner and 2 spots on the floor. All typical of the vintage. It was repainted 1 time 7 years ago. Replacement grill and the wrong front bumper. It has a GMC bumper(aftermarket).

Let's just say that I am going to try and get this truck. It is by sealed bid with the city. Who knows what it could go for. Anybody want to take a guess?

I will bet it goes for about 4000 but considering the location and depending how many were looking at it...might be considerably less. I think the long stepside in 4x4 looks great! Hard to believe a rocker and corner needs work with that little milage and the fact those fire guys keep them inside most of the time.

I had to call the city to find out how much this truck sold for. I knew it wasn't to be mine since they didn't tell me to come and get it. It sold for $6555.00 I wonder if I will end up on Ebay anytime soon????

I'm not surprised by the price. As an original in great shape it is well worth that for the guy that wants to keep it as a fire truck. You could detail it and show it as is...well except for that rocker and cab corner...but easy fixes.

BTW...thanks for letting us know what it went for...this is always good info for the database!
