Thumbs up carb

1406 edelbrock 600cfm carb with a performer intake runs better then the 600 holley but not as strong . edelbrocks run great right out of the box.

I have an Edelbrock 1407 750 4 barrel right now that I like but that is the only carb I have had on my engine since the new parts.

I have a comp magnum 270H, magnum pushrods, anti pump up lifters, worldproduct s/r torquer heads (2.02/1.60), stock stamp steel rockers hopefully will be replaced soon by some full roller rockers 1.6:1, Edelbrock rpm intake, new fuel pump, inline filter, and all new gaskets.

All I need now are some gears (3.73-3.90) I will be running big tires, Eaton Posi, 2200 stall and that's about it for the drivetrain. The front end is getting built up this spring (money willing).

Carb

Carter 750 manual choke. Same as an Edelbrock. I run nothing but Carter or Edelbrock.

ugh! i don't think so

anyway, edelbrock 1400 here. close to the 1406 but has egr and fuel bowl vent, and different jets and such, which can be changed to 1406 specs. basically an emmision 1406

In response to your Ryan--The coolest one, etc....

You go with the emissions carb, then move to a non emissions area, go figure.....

Holley 4160 / 600cfm

I haven't done anything to it since I've had the truck. Seems to be reliable. Would like to get a clue on how to tune it though.

Edelbrock 1400 on a Performer manifold. Setup to 1406 specs, (EGR and emissions have to be in place for inspection here).

If it's in the back yard, I doubt it will be worth rebuilding.

I just sold my stock qjet and intake manifold for $125.00 to a friend of my dads. It was kinda funny he did something to the car to make it run like sh*t, then told his wife that it was the carb and he knew where to get one with a manifold Hes got an older car 60 something, I cant remember what hes got.

Mike, you forget where Im at. AZ! no rain, no humidity, no rust, just HOT DRY days with no clouds. That carb is also under the RV shed on top of my spare new 350 along with the th350c, distributor, etc. I almost have a complete drivetrain
But your right, Qjets suck. They arent worth rebuilding. Strait outa the QJET mans mouth!
