what is the best source of touch-up spray paint in GM color ochre 511?
I found one place on the web that sells it for $19.95 a can. Is there anywhere that has it for less?
thanks

Re: ochre paint source?

Not sure you will get it for much less. Thats a fair price really for custom mixing up a can. I think most of the sites we have seen are around the same price. If you buy your own can and buy the paint seperate you will pay alot more

Re: ochre paint source?

1970, Where'd you find the paint?

All the companies I searched used the Ditzler paint chip catalog and they show ochre as this:

I ordered a bottle of touch-up from one of the companies and the color was that same brown.

Re: ochre paint source?

Thanks to all for info.
Pistolpapa:
the website that has the paint is automotivetouchup.com. I haven't actually looked at a paint chip on that website.

Re: ochre paint source?

Hutch, that's the company I ordered the paint from. He did say to return it and to send a sample of the color so he could match it.

1970, I checked that website and they don't have color samples so who knows if they have the right color? They do have a toll-free number. Maybe you could ask a rep what the color looks like.

I figure I'll take part of my K5 into Home Depot or a paint store and have them match it with oil-based paint.

"Sir, could you please remove your fender from the counter?"
