Hi All,
I was looking to see what size rear tyres you guys are running to see whats the widest tyre i can fit to my truck. my rims are 18 back space i dont know yet as the truck is 7 weeks away. also what diff gears are you running as my new c10 has 4.11 and a turbo 350that i think is to high. Any feedback would be great. Hilly |

if you run it on the freeway, you'll probably want a 3.08 gear, that 4.11 would be screaming at freeway speeds (100KPH and higher)
I can't help you on tire selection, but someone will though. Suspention drop will be a big part of this equation also. |

go to this web site:
www.classicchevy5speeds.com find their RPM calculator. plug in your data, and it will give you a pretty good idea what RPM your truck will turn. I agree with longhorn 4.11 is too much gear, and 3.08 with a th350 would be a good road gear if you are going to drive this truck 100kph regularly. I just put a 700r4 trans in my truck with a 3.73 gear, and it turns just under 2000 rpm at 60 mph |
