Saw a 68-70 SWB step bed 4 sale at the local wrecking yard

I was on my way home from work today and saw a 68-70 (six lug rear axle) short wheelbase stepside bed still on the frame (someone cut the frame to build a trailer?) sitting in the parking lot of a wrecking yard near my house. I did a quick u-ey to check it out. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera. Of course the bed wood is shot. The steel bed strips look reuseable. The front and side bed panels all look good. The DS fender is in really nice condition with no spare tire cutout. The PS fender looks like something got under it and bowed it out above the tire somehow, not really bad, but would need work. The tailgate has one dent on the bottom edge below the "CHEVROLET" lettering where it is double walled. I asked about "the blue Chevy truck bed". They were closing up and the owner said he wanted $250 for it. I am not sure if that was for just the bed or the bed/ frame and rear axle. I don't currently need it for any projects but was wondering if I should pick it up...
