72 Body on 88' G30 Frame?
I saw member evowerks has something like this. Is it easily possible? How hard would it be? Etc etc.

My 69 is actually on a P30 chassis wich is a high cube Grummin body, higher payload than G30......the G30 is a van nose mated to a cargo box. I can't speak for the G30, but he P30 is fairly straight forward, you need to fabricate new mounts for the cab.... new steering shaft and transfer the hydro-boost from the donor chassis.....the fan will be at the lower section of the radiator so you will need to remove the fan shroud and set up an electric fan.....The body will sit high on the new chassis wich gives it a 4 wheel drive look as seen in the link below

Whats the difference between a P-30 and G-30? P-30, like a Fedex truck?
Really? I was thinking of taking it all apart, rebuilding it, putting in a 6.2. It would need new engine mounts, body mounts, new holes in frame , etc.

P-series is a forward control chassis from GM.GM makes bodies,called StepVans or you can get one from an upfitter.
G-series is what is known as a "Van". It seems there are more frames than bodies for these trucks.I can`t imagine why I`d want to go through making another frame fit,unless you were going for something that would specifically call for such a swap..

The frames are completely different.The length won`t be right,either,since a van is much shorter overall.
Can I ask you something?Why are you so set on a dual wheel 1t?I mean,most people only run them because they need that much truck.That`s why they make the different rated trucks.I`m speaking from experience and I always liked my stuff over-built,whether it`s a 4wd or work truck.I`m asking because I wonder if you`re being realistic.Not trying to offend.You have 6 tires to buy instaed of 4.Every part that makes it a 1t makes it more expensive.DOT regulates them like a bigger truck.Won`t see any kind of fuel economy and they are not something you can park in any parking space.Insurance sticks you in a commercial category which costs more,too.If you have weigh stations you are required to pull in and you`re not allowed on alot of roads in some places. Please excuse me if I`ve just gotten too practicle and boring.But,I learned all this on my own and just wonder if you`ve looked at all these factors.It`s great to think big.But,size it down and you`ll be able to do alot more.
