Greetings from New Braunfels,TX

I recently purchased a 69 LWB 4X4 1/2 ton. I have had around a 20 year hiatus from buying, selling and restoring old Chevy pickups. I am excited to have my old hobby back. I will post pic once I have. I have just begun to explore this site and will most likely join as subscriber soon.

In the meantime, can anyone tell me about the air cleaner in the attached pic (saved in word)? I have a 292 with a 1 barrel Rochester. It came from factory with oil bath. I was wondering if this paper element cleaner will work.

Very nice! Is the one in the picture the oil bath or paper? If paper and As long as it fits the carb you should be good to go.

Hello from SC. I have a sister-in-law living in the same town, she lives on Magazine Ave., name is Mary Pomeroy. If you are ever that way, drop by and tell her Hello from her nutty sister's oldman.

Paper element. I hope it fits as I already bought it! Original air cleaner (as shown on options list) was oil bath.

Re: Greetings from New Braunfels,TX

I have been using this site for about 2 weeks now and find it to be an invalueable resource for information. The endless numbers other members willing to offer help is incredible. The thread about the gal in TN whose husband died and was trying to sell the trucks on e-bay is an example of the type of folks who frequent the site. All of this and more was enough for me to become a supporter!!
