Was there ever a factory
fleetside dually from 67-72? Anyone have a picture if yes? Has anyone made their own custom dually bed? pic's?
I think it would be a cool project to make a vintage looking fleetside dually.

Re: Was there ever a factory
there were no trucks with the daul rear wheel option, and a bed, from the factory.
Some will argue, but all the GM books say this, and untill I see one listed on a spid saying otherwise, then that's what I think. There's a few threads, one even recent, that have lots of photos of what you are looking for. |

Re: Was there ever a factory
Why do all that work... and use the wrong fenders?

Re: Was there ever a factory
All these trucks are awesome. Personaly I like the ones that have more of a fender on them . Do you know what is used as a fundation for the fender?
I really like this look.

Re: Was there ever a factory
Does anyone know whose truck is in post 4 and 7. I was thinking about the Cheyenne moulding on a stepside ,but I didn't think it could be curved around the stepside fender. What about a closeup of that?

Re: Was there ever a factory
Hey 67_C-30 Thanks for the link to your build. Thats pretty much what I had in mind.
I have a 4x4 and think it would look mean as a dually. I also like to build cars/trucks with "things" that could have beed factory. In my profile picture I have my truck and a Chevelle. That Chevelle is actually a Cutlass that I hung all new sheet metal on. Ive got a BBC in the 4x4. That was alot of work making it fit and look right. On your dually conversion, is there anything you would you different as far as fabrication go's? Are all the long step fenders the same? Could a short step be used?
