Emergency Brake
I have a 2000 Z 71 and it is inspection time again so I was out checking everything out and low and behold the Emergency Brake went to the floor and not holding the truck . Has anybody else had this problem I went to a few recall sites and nothing was mentioned about it. I looked under it but no obvious signs of a broken cable. Any help would be appreciated

Re: Emergency Brake
My dad has a 2002 Z-71 the parking brake has never worked since it was new. The dealer had it several times to work on it , but never fixed it .

Re: Emergency Brake
check your rear brakes? get under it (after blocking your wheels have someone engage the parking brake and look to see if your levers are moving in back if so the your cable is good then look to either adjustments or repairs with the rear brake but i see this all the time at work
