Re: Newbie Checking in

Here is my 1967 3/4 ton.

The original owner took a train and picked up the cab and chassis from the manufacturer. I think it was detroit but I'm not sure. He drove it back home to Hannibal, MO. From there he took it to Knapheid and had the flatbed installed. I still have the livestock racks for it as well as the grain sides as seen in the pictures as wellas the wooden sides.

I really need to get the seat redone. I'm really tires of the springs poking me. I guess it is a somewhat rare seat that flips forward. I have only seen one other one that does it.

We just use it as a farm truck to haul hay and firewood in the mountains of central California.

Re: Newbie Checking in

Here is my 1972 1-ton.

I bought it, tuned it up and drove it about 50 miles. The bondo fell out of the upper "A" pillar and I found the cab is shot. The timing chain also broke.

I found a 1967 small window Cab for it but have not had time to work on it.

Re: Newbie Checking in

Here is my 72 GMC. I bought it from the original owner. He used it to haul firewood commercially and beat it pretty good.

Here is the way I got it.

Here is the way my 72 GMC look after two years of working on it. I have a post in the Tow Rig section covering some of the details.

Re: Newbie Checking in

Newbie question. I could not find the help thread and I could not find it any other threads.

Why can't I post in the WIW thread area? I have some parts that I would like to sell but have no idea WIW.

All the underhood Airconditioning stuff from my 72GMC. Some doors, etc.

I looked in the for sale section to get a price range but did not really come across anything.

Thanks

Dan

Re: Newbie Checking in

to the board from Mid-MO!!!

You'll find this place to become your second home. There's tons of information, friends, parts, .... and so much more.

In order to sell parts, and also post WIW threads, you have to be a subscribing member. It's only $25/year and it will be the best $25 you've ever spent.

Check out this link in my signature below...

Re: Newbie Checking in

Thanks for all the positive comments.

A truck is to be used and that is what the wife and I do. Use them.

I have a few technical issues I will be asking you when I find the right place to ask them.

Re: Newbie Checking in

It really doesn't fit in this forum but it is a 1943 Chevy 1 1/2 ton M8. Runs like a top.

I post some pics as soon as I resize them.
