weekend part repair/painting

you gotta love weekends, i repaired and customized the grille for my 69,
i repaired a brake in the plastic backing

also there were 3 or 4 broken rectange ends so i added a deluxe emblem

i painted the plastic black and colored in the chevrolet on the grille and the deluxe on the emblem

next i took 2 of my heater set ups for under the hood and used the best of the 2 to make a new one that is all painted and ready for use in my new 68

right now the door pannels are in primer but they are going to be painted gloss black and are gonna be put in my new 68 as well, the silver upper pannel edge is done and ready

and im painting my custom gauge cluster all black with a red back plate to match the few red things that will be found in my 68

also got my engine home and tore down to give it new gaskets, fresh paint, a mild rv cam, new timing chain and new oil pump, so it is ready to drop into my 68,parts will be here on tuesday!

Re: weekend part repair/painting

I wish i had those door panels, the "previous owner" recovered mine and when i went to replace them apparently he used "LiquidNails" cauking to glue them on!

I see you know my old friend "JACK"
