Bought some bucket seats .

I can not help it but I like blue trucks . I bought this today . It came with most of the original motor , the original trans , and drive shafts for a 400 and a 350 trans . It is rust free . The only thing it really needs as far as the body is concerned is a hood . He had a 6-71 sticking through it in the early 80's . Other than that a set of seat covers and the interior is nice also . I am going to sell a truck or two in the next couple months and tinker with this one . He special ordered this truck and it is well optioned . I think I am going to try to paint match a hood , buff it , replace the seat covers and put a 350 I have in it . I will also lift it a little . It is flipped in the rear and the front has some neat upper A frame spacers that move the upper A frame out to square the trire up . I will probably use spindles in the front . I got to see the pics of it in the 80's with the blower motor , 15x10 Cragars and 295x50x15 BFG's and the front spoiler was still on it . A real throwback . The truck has been in his garage since 1987.

Re: Bought some bucket seats .

The inside of the bed is awesome . The tires are 265/60/15 Belted T/A's . I havent seen a set of those in years . I tried to get a pic of the sticker on the dash but It doesnt show up . It says .....Injection is Nice ,But I'd Rather be Blown . I need to clean it up a bit since it has been sitting for 21 years and is covered in a little dust .

Re: Bought some bucket seats .

I vote for returning it to it's former glory with the blower out of the hood... but leave the paint for now.

Whatever you do.. it's a sweet truck.

Thanks for the compliments .Yes it is the same truck .I did get the scoop with it . I contacted him and went and picked it up yesterday . The guy is a Storm chaser . I am pretty sure I have seen him on Discovery Channel before . Carson Eads . He told me several kids from his hometown ordered short bed trucks right out of highschool . Some had bigblocks and it seems most had bucket seats . He said he drove the truck off of the transport . Neat ! The truck needs a hood and no other sheetmetal . The seat covers need replacing . The rest is nice . It is hard to tell but he repainted the yellow trim a Baby blue color . He also painted the inner fenders and core support the same as the truck and chromed the radiator support . It is fairly detailed under the hood . It also has a helper set of airbags on the rear . I am excited about the truck .

Re: Bought some bucket seats .

I am super happy with the condition of the truck vs. what I paid . I have an engine on the stand and will just put it in this one . This truck is clean in the underside also . It has been garaged for 21 years without being out and it shows it in certain areas .

What a score! You just don't find them that clean any more.

Can't wait to see where this thing ends up.
