TH350/400 Trans linkage

I removed the linkage from my 72 truck which has a 700R4 in it now...I am assuming it is the factory linkage. Is there a difference if it is from a 350 or a 400? Thanks.

Re: TH350/400 Trans linkage

the rod is the same, but the frame pivot is different for the 400, you have the 350 version pictured, also 4x4 frame pivot is different than either of the other two

No differences in the rod or frame pivot if we are talking factory linkage for a th350 or th400 w/SBC only, the differences (see pic) come into play if needing a shift linkage setup for a factory th400 w/BBC, the frame pivot, mounting location of pivot on frame and the main shift rod w/slight bend for firewall clearance which is also a bit longer due to the bbc's positioning of the trans in a more aft position.
